This Children of the Corn remake was produced by Lucas Foster, Doug Barry, John Baldecchi, and Pam Collis. Kampouris and Moyer are joined in the cast by Callan Mulvey and Bruce Spence. Kurt Wimmer’s Children of the Corn shows the events leading up to, and including, the massacre of the adults of a small town in Nebraska by their children, after the adults’ irresponsibility ruins the crop and the children’s future. Here’s a bit more information: Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. Writer/director Kurt Wimmer’s recently released take on the Stephen King short story Children of the Corn is described as being a remake, but it’s different enough from the source material and the two previous adaptations – released in 19 – that you could really just call it “another Children of the Corn movie”. ![]()
